Position Summary:

The Commercial Front-End Driver is responsible for safely operating a front-load truck to provide prompt and courteous waste collection services to commercial customers. This role requires strong customer service skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a Commercial Front-End Truck on assigned routes to service commercial waste containers.
  • Ensure proper waste collection and disposal while following company safety standards and traffic laws.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition and report any maintenance issues.
  • Monitor container conditions and report any damage or unsafe conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers.
  • Maintain accurate service and delivery records using onboard systems or manual documentation.
  • Assist with container deliveries, removals, and replacements as needed.
  • Keep the vehicle and work area clean at all times.
  • Follow all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.

Requirements:

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class B or higher.
  • Front end experience is strongly preferred!
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a DOT drug test and physical exam.
  • Strong knowledge of safe driving practices, DOT regulations, and equipment inspection procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in waste management, recycling, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with route navigation systems and GPS technology.
  • Mechanical aptitude to identify minor truck issues.
