JOB DESCRIPTIONVacuum Truck Technician What We DoWe provide commercial and residential septic services; these services include septic system pumping & cleaning, septic system and pump repairs, septic system installation, grease trap/interceptor pumping and cleaning, municipal system maintenance and repairs, and various other services. By providing responsive, transparent, and quality service, we create a long-term trusting relationship with our customers, suppliers, and team members.  What You’ll DoThe position of Vacuum Truck Technician (VTT) is an essential position that is the backbone of the organization, conducting a range of duties across all aspects of septic service. The VTT is responsible for the customer-facing service conducted daily. This role involves pumping, cleaning, maintaining, servicing and installing septic and grease systems. The VTT reports directly to the Executive Vice President (EVP)/Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will be responsible for the following requirements:
  • Operate and maintain a 2500-5000 gallon vacuum truck.
  • Conduct residential septic tank pumping and cleaning.
  • Commercial grease trap/interceptor cleaning and maintenance.
  • Municipal lift station pumping and cleaning.
  • Septic tank and pump system repairs.
  • Conduct residential septic system inspections.
  • Operate a mini-excavator
  • Physically able to uncover a septic tank.
  • Ensure compliance with all state, county, local and relevant regulations.
  • Remain “on-call” during certain nights and weekends for emergency service.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers, suppliers, partners and all regulatory agencies.
  • Complete all required forms and documentation required for services and administrative functions.
  • Ensure accountability of all company property under your responsibility.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for growth and new business.
  • Adhere to all training programs, certifications, and maintenance programs required by the company.
  • Other duties as needed or directed by the Chief Operating Officer.
 What You’ll Have
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Class B Commercial Drivers License with Tanker Endorsement (X)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook to communicate via email and retrieve and provide forms.
