Job Description

Starting to Mid-Level Engineer position to assist project managers with design, reporting, coordination, and management of tasks at the staff level here in our wastewater & septic engineering department.

Tasks include the design of septic systems, package treatment systems, percolation test reports, public water system application preparation, AutoCAD; communication with consultants, contractors, and public agencies; budget tracking; fieldwork, and construction observation.

The position reports to Project Managers and Project Engineers and may provide direction to Engineering Technicians.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution and a valid California Engineer-in-Training Certificate, be a Registered Environmental Health Specialist in the State of California with experience in wastewater, or be a California licensed engineer (P.E.). Willingness to go into the field for soil site evaluations and soil texturing is required. Experience with Auto CAD and Microsoft Excel is desired, but not required.
