Recreation Site Supervisor for

Start Smart, Pickleball, and Street Hockey

OPENING DATE: 07/14/2026

Riverton City is currently seeking qualified applicants for the following part-time seasonal position:

Riverton City is currently seeking a qualified applicant to fill the position of youth pickleball instructor, Start Smart Instructor, and Street Hockey Site Supervisor to work as a youth sports coordinator.

Youth pickleball is scheduled to begin in May and go through September. May and September will be in the late afternoon. June, July, and August will be in the morning. Successful candidates will know the rules of pickleball and be able to work with youth between the ages of 8-18.

Start Smart Program is scheduled to begin April 28th and end May 20th, and will take place every Tuesday and Wednesday evening.

Street Hockey is set to start in September and end in October, and will take place on Monday and Wednesday evenings.

Successful candidates will have a basic knowledge of various sports, excellent customer service skills, the ability to multitask, and work with children between the ages of 3 and 6 and their parents. Duties include, but are not limited to, organizing, supervising, and instructing a sports camp and its participants. Preference will be given to those with experience in the sports of soccer, baseball, and football.

Pay range:

$17.00 an hour

Schedule:

Start Smart

Days: Tuesday and Wednesday

Time: Evenings 4:30-7:30 pm

Youth Pickleball

Months: May and September

Days: Monday and Thursday

Time: Afternoons 4:00-6:00 pm

Months: June, July, August

Days: Tuesday and Thursday

Time: 8:00-11:00 am

Up to 15 hours a week

Street Hockey

Months: September and October

Days: Monday and Wednesday

Time: Afternoons and Evenings 4:00-8:00 PM

Up to 15 hours a week

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience preferred but not necessary
  • Applicants must be 16 years of age and up
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred ( if older than 18)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and background screen (if older than 18)
