We are looking for:
- JANITOR OR CUSTODIAN FOR EVENING SHIFT 
We need both positions filled to ensure all areas of the hospital are properly covered and cleaning tasks are carried out effectively.
Responsibilities

  • Is directly responsible for cleaning of all Operating Suites, including equipment.
  • Follows established housekeeping guidelines.
  • bags and follow established guidelines for infectious waste.
  • Follows proper procedures regarding exposure to Category I tasks.
  • Follows proper procedures for handling hazardous waste materials.
  • Ability to follow written or oral instructions. Ability to work well with others and to present a neat appearance and pleasant manner.
  • Daily cleans and maintains OR storage room where cleaning supplies are kept.
Skills

  • Demonstrates a good knowledge of housekeeping and the guidelines for infectious waste.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrates ability to stand and/or walk at least five hours per day.
  • Demonstrates ability to lift and/or carry over up to 55 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Demonstrates ability to push/pull over up to 55 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Applicant who worked as a Janitor in a Hospital is a plus.
NOTE: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work since not all of our sites are accessible via SEPTA.
Occupational Exposure:

  • Category I exposure to blood-borne pathogens, frequent exposure to chemical hazards, and may encounter radiation hazards.
This position requires a pre-employment drug screening test as a condition of employment.

Job Type: Part-time
Base Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
