Sentara Physical Therapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and practiced Physical Therapist (PT) to join our growing team in Arlington, Virginia. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial patient evaluations to assess their functional status and physical abilities in both in-person and telehealth formats.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities tailored to patient needs.
  • Utilize patient data to track progress, adjust treatment protocols, and set new therapeutic goals in collaboration with patients and their families.
  • Educate patients about their conditions and teach them various exercises and methods for pain management and improved functionality.
  • Recommend assistive devices tailored to individual needs, providing patients and caregivers with training on their proper usage for effective self-care and mobility.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of patient interactions, treatment responses, and progress reports in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, training sessions, and active participation in relevant professional societies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our physical therapists primarily work with a diverse range of patients who may be recovering from surgical procedures, managing chronic illnesses, or experiencing acute musculoskeletal conditions. Your role will be pivotal in tailoring rehabilitation plans that cater to the unique needs of children, adults, and senior patients. By employing evidence-based practice, you will enable patients to regain their independence and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
  • Current state licensure to practice physical therapy in Virginia.

  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems to document patient care and improve outcomes.
