Sentara Obici Hospital is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist to work a Full Time, 14-week assignment!
Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) OR
Travel Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
Sentara Louise Obici Hospital - Suffolk, VA
  • $70.00/hr (RRT) or $66.00/hr (CRT)
  • NIGHT shift- 7pm to 7am
  • 14-week assignment
  • No benefits

Overview
The Registered Respiratory Therapist builds upon the overall pulmonary management in identifying and implementing physician directed respiratory care interventions for an individual or a group of patients. Works cooperatively with nursing and other health care team members for professional respiratory care practice for all patients ranging in ages from neonates to adults in all clinical and ambulatory settings. Responsible for the appropriate age specific assessment and treatment of patients. May have access to, or oversight of Protected Health Information (PHI) in the course of carrying out position duties.
Associates or Bachelor's degree required. Non degreed applicants with RRT credentials prior to January 1, 2006 and graduates from a military RT program with RRT credentials will also be considered.
State license, active NBRC RRT and BLS required at time of hire. For new graduates only, must have State license and BLS at time of hire, and must obtain NBRC RRT within 6 months of hire date.
Education
  • Associate's Degree - Respiratory Therapy OR
  • Bachelor's Degree - Respiratory Therapy

Certification/Licensure
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Certification - National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) OR Certified Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Certification - National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Respiratory Therapist License - State license - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)

Experience
  • 1 year of clinical respiratory care experience (preferred)
