Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About The Role:

CrowdStrike Falcon is a two-component security product. One component is a sensor, which is a lightweight agent installed on client machines that observes system activity. When the sensor recognizes malicious behavior, then it provides on-box prevention capability and remote telemetry to the Falcon cloud. The cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry for each customer's network, can correlate malicious behavior across multiple machines, and presents our customers with a prioritized summary of the threats detected in their environments.

This is a software tooling role focused on the delivery of our sensor on Linux platforms. Our tools engineers own development of our test pipelines, Linux distro provisioning, and work closely with the product engineering teams. As a tools engineer, you will use your strong technical ability to drive quality and velocity across many different Linux tools, frameworks and pipelines.

Location:

  • This role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week on-site at one of the posted locations.

What You'll Do:

  • Define, build, and maintain tools to improve scale and efficiency in our product development and validation processes.

  • Support and improve existing tools for Linux sensor build and testing.

  • Drive continuous improvement in our automation and CI/CD tools.

  • Drive and own improvements in compatibility and product quality coverage.

What You'll Need:

  • Expert Python knowledge

  • Advanced knowledge of Jenkins development, operations and debugging

  • Advanced knowledge of building test pipelines and strategies

  • Experience with multiple Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE, etc.), kernel versions (2.6.x through 7.x+), and production OS combinations. Note: Our extensive support matrix requires solving complex compatibility challenges.

  • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.

  • Fluency with CLI tools in the Linux environment. (GNU / Posix command line tools)

  • BS degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years-experience or greater in software engineering, quality engineering, or configuration management.

  • 10+ years or greater of software development experience in Python and/or C/C++.

  • Able to communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a globally distributed team.
