Job description

This position reports directly to the Modernized Integrated Bridge System (MIBS) Project Manager. Perform Installation Lead duties and create related documents to support these efforts. Development and oversite of execution of System Operation Verification Tests (SOVTs). Assists with the oversite of the DCS Safety requirements to implement governing regulations from, but not limited to, Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA). Assist in adjudicating programmatic issues for the Project and Program Manager. Assist in the management of the integration efforts for platform upgrades. Produce detailed service reports within all contract deadlines. 

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship and a valid passport is required.

Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Must have a high school diploma/GED with 10 years of overall experience.

Must be proficient utilizing and successfully demonstrate the proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Work Outlook and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.

Ability to read and interpret schematics, and technical drawings.

Has working knowledge to include populating required data for standard military documents to include but not limited to DD-1348s, DA-3161s and DD-1149s.

 3-5 years team lead experience in a military shipboard environment.

3 years' experience in Programmatic, Financial, and technical support of the research, development, test, and evaluation of communication systems.

Ability to effectively manage day to day elements of a DoD Project. 

Must be a self-starter, working both independently as well as part of a team.

 Experience mentoring junior team members.

Experience working with, coordinating and directing onsite vendors and subcontractors.

Must be able to lift up-to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Able to obtain required certifications to and upon receipt, operate material handling equipment, to include, but not limited to forklifts, hand trucks and pallet jacks.

Desired Skills:

Experience with military standards and procedures.

Prior Military Occupational Specialty 25H, 25S or 25U experience

Master Certification in Project Management.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Experience with building and tying workflow to Microsoft Project Schedules.
