Overall Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Wireless Engineering team. Candidate will be a key contributor to develop and generate customized software solutions. Candidate is also responsible to write detailed guidelines, procedures to execute various operations in the wireless network.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Develop customized software solutions and tools.
  • Lead the effort in identifying automation and scripting needs
  • Provide detailed procedures and operational aspects of the Samsung products to various wireless carriers and other vendors
  • Help in providing scripts/tools and documentation to assist the operator in carrying out the complex network operations and understand the Wireless network.
  • Lead the effort in identifying a problem in production of the tools/script
Key Competencies:
  • Experience in software solution design and development.
  • Experience with scripting: Python, PERL, shell, TCL, AWK etc
  • Experience with C/C++/Java development
  • Experience with Unix, Oracle, SQL and PL/SQL
  • Experience in ETL scripting
  • Experience in DB design
  • Experience with socket programming
  • Automation of scheduled tasks
  • Experience with Graphical User Interface design
  • Experience in Processing of high volume of data
  • Exposure to High Availability and redundancy systems
  • Good understanding of Sun Solaris operating System and Linux.
  • Basic understanding of call processing in wireless networks is desired
Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in software industry with tool development
  • BS/MS in EE/CS is mandatory
  • Understanding of wireless networks, architecture and protocols is required
  • Understanding of LTE networks/protocols is desired
  • Experience with SNMP, TR-69 and TNM protocols is desired
  • Good communication skill and problem solving skills are required
