This position requires as seasoned, Tier II/Tier II systems engineer performing a wide variety of duties including installations, debugging, maintenance, upgrades, and general support of a niche network including both Linux and Windows environments. Apply sound engineering practices, good judgement and technical skills to achieve both short and long-term goals as established by client management.

Be a proactive self-starter requiring minimal supervision who can monitor existing infrastructure, identify and coordinate implementation changes to address problems or engineering changes with little to no impact to the end users. This is a small team of experts that are jacks-of-all trades managing a bespoke network. Bachelor's Degree in related technical discipline OR equivalent work experience in lieu of degree Minimum of 5+ years supporting mission networks Minimum of 7+ years of current experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments, including administration (Active Directory) and the management of group policy security configurations Experience with troubleshooting domain connectivity and performance issues Experience working with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds Orion Significant experience with PowerShell, Ansible or Terraform/Packer for automation and scripted deployment of Windows resources, to include servers and workstations Window Server Update Services (WSUS) knowledge and hands on expertise across various disconnected enclave environments Significant experience with VMware technologies, to include recent releases of vSphere, VSAN, Horizon View Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Working knowledge and/or understanding of cloud computing concepts Excellent interpersonal and communications skills needed to work in a small team dynamic and with mission partners, operational elements, other engineers and vendors Quick learner, detail oriented and strong ownership of work product Able to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment that might be lacking documentation or the exact steps to troubleshoot Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Desired: Certification or equivalent experience to include, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) - What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity
