Barbaricum is seeking aSenior Systems Administratorto support Systems Engineering for the Maneuver, Surveillance, & Engagement Division at NSWC Crane in Bedford, IN. This role focuses on Windows workstation provisioning, system image management, and automated operating system deployment within a secure DoD environment. The selected candidate will design, implement, and maintain enterprise workstation deployment solutions while ensuring compliance with DoD security standards. This position requires strong expertise in Windows deployment technologies, scripting, and system configuration management in a hybrid work environment (minimum three days onsite per week). Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and maintain Windows workstation deployment and provisioning solutions using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and/or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
• Develop and maintain automated task sequences to support standardized operating system deployments.
• Build, maintain, and capture Windows system images using Sysprep and WIM capture processes.
• Administer and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and system configuration baselines across enterprise environments.
• Monitor system configurations, including hardware and software baselines, to ensure operational reliability and compliance with security requirements.
• Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate system administration and deployment processes.
• Maintain Windows deployment infrastructure components including Windows ADK and WinPE.
• Develop and maintain system design documentation, deployment procedures, and configuration standards.
• Provide technical assistance and training to users on systems and software relevant to mission requirements.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity personnel and engineers to ensure systems meet DoD security and compliance requirements. Required Qualifications: • Active DoD Secret clearance required; Top Secret clearance preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of professional experience in systems administration supporting enterprise IT environments.
• Demonstrated experience with Windows OS deployment and provisioning using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and/or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
• Experience developing and maintaining task sequences for automated workstation deployments.
• Experience with Sysprep utility and WIM image capture processes.
• Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for automation and systems management.
• Experience with Windows ADK and WinPE deployment environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD 8570 Advanced certification (e.g., SecurityX, GCSA, CCSP, or equivalent).

• Experience supporting DoD or Navy environments, particularly NSWC Crane.
