Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood, MI is seeking a BEHAVIORAL HEALTH THERAPIST to join our SENIOR WELLNESS PROGRAM team!
The Therapist provides quality and organized psychotherapy for identified clients and families with special emphasis on treatment and discharge planning needs.
  • Provide for referrals and community contacts.
  • Manage caseload documentation.
  • Function as a multidisciplinary team member of the geriatric psych day treatment program.

HOURS: Full Time; 1.0 FTE or 80 hours per pay period.
Experience/Qualifications
  • Knowledge of counseling techniques and protocols normally acquired through completion of a master's degree in one of the following areas: industrial/organizational psychology, social work, psychology, community counseling, educational counseling, or professional counseling.
  • One year of clinical experience with older persons and hospital or nursing home experience.
  • Possesses Michigan Professional Counselor (LPC) license, Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW) or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) License
  • Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) desired

Aspirus Ironwood Hospital includes a 25-bed critical access hospital, multi-specialty clinic, satellite clinic in Wisconsin, surgical clinic, walk-in clinic and a home health agency. Ironwood's service area covers approximately 30,000 people. The hospital has a 3 bed ICU and 4 surgical units. The emergency department is staffed 24/7 with ER physicians, with approximately 12,000 visits annually. The hospital's inpatient census is 12 patients per day. The outpatient clinic has over 50,000 visits annually.
