You will construct and analyze enterprise-level architectures and kill-web/effects-web constructs, support mission engineering studies, develop digital workflows, and ensure high-quality technical deliverables across government programs.
This position requires deep experience in MBSE methodologies, SysML/UAF/DoDAF modeling, mission thread development, complex systems analysis, and coordination with senior defense stakeholders.
Responsibilities
• Lead medium-to-large technical engineering efforts applying advanced analytical and systems engineering principles to mission-critical challenges.
• Identify technical approaches, plan system architecture development, and assign engineering resources to execute MBSE solutions.
• Provide senior-level technical leadership ensuring alignment of digital engineering products to customer requirements and program objectives.
• Develop, update, and maintain enterprise-scale MBSE architectures including mission threads, METs/MTs, kill chains, and kill-web/effects-web models.
• Lead the creation of system CONOPS, requirements documents, preliminary design reviews, segment-level specification reviews, and technical deliverables.
• Drive adoption of digital engineering tools, environments, and hybrid cloud ecosystems to support mission engineering activities at scale.
• Support mission engineering analyses by integrating modeling and simulation tools and digital artifacts into a unified environment (e.g., AFSIM).
• Mentor junior and mid-level MBSE practitioners, providing technical direction, trade study leadership, and methodological guidance.
• Coordinate directly with senior government stakeholders, Joint Staff, Service Components, and Mission Integration teams to align engineering outputs with operational needs.
• Ensure all digital products, architecture artifacts, and mission engineering documents are stored and maintained for reuse in digital engineering ecosystems.
Required Skills
• Expertise across multiple technical domains and advanced engineering methodologies.
• Ability to determine requirements, define analytic approaches, and break down highly complex problems into actionable engineering tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to lead senior engineers and analysts ensuring cohesive technical outcomes.
• Experience developing mission engineering threads, scenarios, and enterprise architectures.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interface with stakeholders at senior echelons.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in systems engineering, mission engineering, or digital engineering roles.
• Extensive experience leading planning and execution of mission and systems analysis.
• Experience in Systems Architecture development, kill-chain analysis, SoS architecture modeling, tradespace analysis, and M&S.
• Awareness of digital thread, digital twin, and digital ecosystem concepts.
• Experience coordinating engineering work with Joint Staff, Services, or warfighter elements.
Clearance
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Active TS/SCI eligibility required
• Experience supporting enhanced security or classified deployment efforts is highly preferred.
Compensation
