Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Developer to drive the user interface implementation for a major credit union's migration to a modern digital banking platform. This role is ideal for a hands-on developer who excels at translating high-fidelity UX designs into responsive, secure, and accessible omnichannel experiences across web and mobile platforms.

What You'll Do

  • Configure and implement digital branding standards directly into the VeriChannel front-end architecture for both online and mobile banking interfaces.
  • Develop and optimize responsive layouts, CSS components, and typography to ensure a seamless cross-channel member experience.
  • Collaborate with UX Designers to enforce strict AODA and WCAG AA accessibility compliance from the initial build.
  • Partner with Senior .NET Integration Developers to seamlessly bind front-end user interfaces to backend RESTful APIs via the VeriLink integration layer.
  • Participate in daily Agile scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure rapid, iterative delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of senior-level experience in modern frontend web development (HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular).
  • Proven track record of building highly responsive, cross-platform experiences targeting both web browsers and mobile devices.
  • Deep understanding of consuming and binding frontend components to RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Strong, hands-on knowledge of WCAG and AODA accessibility guidelines and best practices for inclusive design.
  • Experience working within Agile environments and utilizing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps) for code deployment and pull requests.

Nice to Have

  • Prior hands-on experience configuring or customizing the VeriPark (VeriChannel) digital banking platform.
  • Experience modernizing and migrating legacy platforms within the Canadian credit union or financial services sector.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Azure ecosystem and .NET backend integration.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work on impactful, large-scale modernization initiatives.
  • Collaborative and supportive engineering culture.
  • Exposure to modern cloud-native technologies and platforms.
  • Flexible and dynamic remote delivery environment.
