Deffet Group, Inc. is pleased to have been retained by Pinnacle Living to conduct an Executive Leadership search for a Vice President, Human Resources.

Pinnacle Living is a faith-inspired, not-for-profit senior life plan organization dedicated to enriching life’s journey for older adults across Virginia. Founded in 1948, the organization has grown from a single retirement community into a network of six senior living communities with over 1,000 team members. Guided by its mission of “Enriching Life’s Journey” and its vision of creating “a culture in which age does not define the person,” Through its diverse portfolio of senior living options, Pinnacle Living offers a continuum of care that includes Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, and other supportive services.

Pinnacle Living is seeking a Vice President, Human Resources (VP, HR) to lead the organization in meeting the needs of the next generation. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer this individual will be a hands-on, articulate leader with a deep passion for senior living and proven ability in developing and implementing strategic plans.

The successful Vice President, Human Resources will be a highly accomplished leader with a deep commitment to the mission and vision of Pinnacle Living. This person must be a well-rounded human resource professional who has proven experience in establishing and delivering an organizational HR strategy and can drive the organization’s key priorities forward. The VP, HR will be an innovative and flexible leader with a proven ability to engage, collaborate with and effectively advise the talented, dedicated, and diverse community and corporate leadership. Further, the individual will thrive on being a strategic and analytical partner to a dynamic and complex organization, who has the vision to first look at the organization through a long-term lens to set strategic HR goals and then ensure the systems, processes, and short-term tactics are in place to achieve those long-term goals.
