The Senior Operations Manager (Sr. Ops Manager) for Atlanta is a strategic, hands-on operations leader responsible for the day-to-day operational health, service delivery, and team performance of Cushman & Wakefield's Atlanta office. This is a high-impact role supporting a large, single-office market supporting 500+ employees, requiring strong leadership presence, disciplined execution, and the ability to translate market priorities into reliable operational outcomes.
This leader ensures seamless operational delivery across core functions including brokerage and administrative support, marketing and production coordination, financial analysis and workflows, transaction support, reprographics, facilities, vendor management, and office services. This leader serves as the primary escalation point for operational issues, removes barriers to fee-earner productivity, and drives operational excellence through scalable processes, data integrity, and continuous improvement.
The Sr. Ops Manager will lead and develop the Atlanta Operations team (e.g., operations specialists/coordinators and site services support), fostering a high-engagement culture, clear accountability, and strong cross-functional connectivity. In partnership with the Managing Principal and regional leadership, this role implements best practices, supports strategic initiatives, and maintains a consistent, client-centric workplace experience. This position reports directly to the Managing Director of Operations.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Market Operations Leadership

  • Own the operational health and performance of the Atlanta office; establish consistent routines, standards, and service expectations.
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to the local Managing Principal and market leadership on operational priorities, planning, and execution.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues; drive timely resolution and implement preventative controls to reduce recurring friction.
  • Drive process improvement and operational efficiency across office functions; standardize best practices and ensure adoption.

People Leadership & Culture

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Atlanta Operations team; set clear expectations, coach performance, and build a culture of accountability.
  • Partner with HR to recruit, onboard, develop, and retain operations/support talent; support performance management and career development.
  • Foster an inclusive, high-engagement environment; promote collaboration, morale, and strong cross-functional relationships across the office.
  • Coordinate training and enablement for operational policies, procedures, and tools to ensure consistent service delivery.

Financial & Business Management

  • Support market budgeting and forecasting processes in partnership with leadership, FP&A, and Finance; monitor key drivers and risk areas.
  • Oversee financial workflows including invoice processing, expense management, purchasing controls, and vendor spend management.
  • Support deal-related workflows (as applicable) including transaction expense tracking and reconciliation, and coordination with commission/accounting partners.

Facilities, Vendor, Technology & Office Services

  • Oversee facilities, office services, and workplace experience including purchasing, mail/reprographics, building/vendor relationships, and day-to-day office needs.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, service levels, and issue resolution; identify cost-saving opportunities and improve service quality.
  • Partner with IT / site services support to ensure effective onboarding/offboarding readiness, office technology support, and business continuity planning.

Systems, CRM & Data Integrity

  • Promote CRM usage and maintain data accuracy for pipeline and revenue reporting; establish routines and accountability for compliance.
  • Partner with regional and national Operations, Marketing, Research, and Finance stakeholders to implement initiatives and strengthen operational consistency.

Communications & Stakeholder Management

  • Communicate with executive presence and clarity; translate priorities into action across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Coordinate office events and engagement initiatives in partnership with HR/Marketing; ensure operational excellence in execution.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in commercial real estate operations, business operations, logistics operations, or comparable operational leadership roles.
  • 4+ years of people management experience leading 25+ direct reports (required).
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience managing and developing multi-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong financial acumen, including comfort with budgeting, forecasting, expense management, and interpreting financial data.
  • Experience with CRM and reporting tools (e.g., Salesforce) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (especially Excel); Power BI experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated success driving process improvement, operational discipline, and service delivery consistency.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills, including comfort partnering with senior leaders.
  • PMP certification a plus.

It is the expectation that this individual is on-site a minimum of four (4) days weekly.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
