Timmons Group is currently seeking a Senior Technical Analyst with experience in Utility Network implementation to join our Geospatial Utilitiesgroup to drive technical excellence to our utility clients.
As a Senior Technical Analyst, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of production tasks for geospatial projects and data management. You will assist and support Project Managers and Developers in meeting project deliverable requirements and deadlines.
Our Geospatial division supports clients across the country in many industries ranging from state and local governments, utility providers, transportation, natural resources, forestry and fish and wildlife. As an Esri Gold Partner, we are excited to be completely aligned with the cutting edge Esri technology implementations. This position will primarily be working with utility departments and organizations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Offer comprehensive consulting on data management best practices, including workflows, tools, governance models and integration patterns.
  • Lead the design and development of enterprise geographic information systems (GIS) and the implementation of Utility Networks (UN).
  • Conduct data model design and development tasks and apply sophisticated geospatial analysis techniques to datasets.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to provide GIS support, training, and assistance, as well as to troubleshoot complex problems associated with existing GIS applications, tools, and data.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Esri-based GIS solutions and applications, build complex data migration/ETL processes, and provide ongoing support for GIS programs and functions requiring programming and analysis.
  • Write technical documentation for training and user workflows.

Skills and Requirements of a successful candidate should have the following, but are not limited to:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year college in GIS, Surveying, engineering, Geography, Information Systems, or related degree, and at least eightyears of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS Software, including Desktop, Extensions, ArcGIS Enterprise Server & Portal, with expertise in ArcGIS Pro and enterprise geodatabases.
  • Experience managing Esri versions and versioning schemes as well as producing ArcGIS data services
  • Familiarity with Esri suite of tools, including Data Reviewer, Utility Networks, and Attribute Rules
  • Familiarity with FME/Data Interoperability
  • Competence in SQL Server development and usage, along with fluency in scripting languages like SQL, Python, ArcPy, Arcade, and other spatial data processing tools
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Compensation: Our best estimate of the salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000. Offers are based on a range of job-related factors such as internal equity, experience, skills, education, credentials and role complexity.
