How you make a difference
The Senior Assistant General Counsel Director provides legal guidance on the day-to-day operations of healthcare services and advises on regulatory matters and organizational risk. This role serves as a key legal partner to operational teams, supporting business, contractual, and compliance needs. The position delivers guidance across a wide range of legal areas, including regulatory compliance, contracts, and disputes. The role also supports internal teams by helping ensure alignment with policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as lead legal counsel to operational teams, advising on legal, business, contractual, and operational matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, including service contracts, physician agreements, leases, and corporate documents.
  • Provide guidance on regulatory compliance, risk management, and third-party disputes.
  • Support audits, investigations, administrative proceedings, and responses to regulatory inquiries.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and outside counsel to support compliance, training, and implementation of policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Juris Doctorate Degree from an ABA-accredited institution.

Experience

  • 7 to 12 years of legal experience relevant to the position duties.

Licenses/Certifications

  • License to practice law (OR authorization to practice as an in-house counsel attorney, if approved by CLO) in state of employment.
