KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  • Perform senior level network and systems administration in a multi-platform, multi-location, hybrid work environment
  • Participate in all aspects of planning, developing, implementing, upgrading, administering and securing network premise and cloud infrastructure
  • Apply safeguards and other measures to protect the security, availability and integrity of company data, systems, networks and applications; perform regular monitoring to verify the integrity, security and availability of systems and networks
  • Develop, implement and follow preventative maintenance plans and procedures, as well as disaster recovery plans; administer the backup program, perform test and live restores
  • Analyze, diagnose and repair server, network and other system or application failures; troubleshoot and resolve other IT issues
  • Develop and maintain technical skills so they are current with existing and emerging technologies and practices
  • Effectively manage IT projects
  • Research, evaluate, propose, develop, implement and administer system enhancements, workflow improvements and other solutions that support business needs
  • Work with other departments to understand and support their IT needs; provide technical support and guidance to users
  • Coordinate activities with vendors and others
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, documentation and training materials
  • Participate in the development and application of IT budgets and work plans; purchase and maintain records for approved IT hardware, software, support and service
  • Follow IT security best practices and participate in efforts to meet compliance standards, including PCI DSS
  • Deliver quality customer service while remaining security-minded
  • Back up and support other IT staff as needed
  • Collaborate with other team members to foster a positive and productive culture and contribute toward the overall growth

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Working knowledge of scripting tools and command shells (e.g. CMD,PowerShell, Bash) required
  • Expert levelunderstanding of TCP/IP protocols and advanced IT networking conceptsrequired. Experience with IPv6 a plus

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Five years experience in network and systems administration in a fast-paced business environment required; ability to perform senior levelnetwork and systems administration in a multi-platform (Windows, Linux, Mac)environment required
  • Experience with planning, implementing, administering and securingnetwork infrastructure including network security appliances, routers, managedswitches, wireless access points, servers, workstations, peripherals, cabling and other equipment. Experience with Sonicwall, Aruba, Fortinet and Cisco products a plus
  • Experience with network monitoring and log aggregation tools preferred
  • Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning;experience with the administration of backup solutions required
  • Experience implementing, upgrading and administering Windows Servers,including Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server and Hyper-V required; experience administering Microsoft cloud products including Azure, Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online and InTune preferred
  • Experience supporting and administering Linux distributions andopen-source databases (CentOS, MySQL, etc.) required
  • Experience administering AWS tools (e.g. Route 53; S3; EC2) preferred
  • Experience administering a variety of database-driven business applications (e.g. Salesforce), including configuring and supporting integrations with other systems and applications preferred
  • Experience with workstation imaging and deployment solutions and automated application deployment tools preferred
  • Experience deploying and maintaining VoIP solutions and supporting mobile devices and applications preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to perform work duties under stress and time pressures
  • Ability to travel to remote sites periodically
  • Ability to work some evenings, weekends, holidays and on-call shifts
  • Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to climb, twist, bend, kneel, crawl and reach above head asrequired
  • Ability to sit and type on a keyboard for long periods of time
  • Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of hand tools to support IT work
  • Ability to work in noisy, cold environment periodically
