As a Senior UI Programmer, you will work on developing and optimizing user interface features for 7 days to die in collaboration with designers, artists, and other programmers, using Unity as our primary development platform. The position involves building efficient frameworks and supporting the continuous improvement of our UI systems, and is ideal for someone with strong technical skills, a deep understanding of UI development, and an interest in collaborative problem-solving.
In this role, you will:
  • Design, architect, and develop flexible, reusable, and optimized UI systems for the game.
  • Define and maintain budget and performance related to the UI subsystem.
  • Lead and implement complex screens and flows; in-game HUD to various gameplay UI Screens.
  • Test, debug, and optimize code to ensure high quality standards.
  • Maintain code quality through mentoring, collaboration, and code review process.
  • Work closely with UI/UX/VFX designers and direction to set highest level of standards.
  • Work within a cross-disciplinary team composed of programmers, designers, animators, and artists.
 
What we're looking for:
  • 6+ years of experience as a programmer within the gaming industry.
  • 4+ years of game development using Unity3D.
  • 2+ years of UI development using UGUI and/or NGUI.
  • Proficiency in design pattern and OOP using C# language,
  • Experience developing UI taking into consideration: performance, memory allocation, lifecycle, localization, input, etc.
  • Shipped at least one game on PC using Unity3d, Unreal, or proprietary game engines.
  • Driven and inspired by user experience through UI.
  • You love solving challenging technical problems with the most effective solutions.
 
Dans ce role tu devras :
  • Concevoir, architecturer et developper des systemes d'interface utilisateur flexibles, reutilisables et optimises pour le jeu;
  • Definir et assurer le suivi du budget et des performances du sous-systeme d'UI;
  • Diriger et implementer des ecrans et des parcours complexes, du HUD en jeu aux differents ecrans d'interface de gameplay;
  • Tester, deboguer et optimiser le code afin d'assurer des standards de qualite eleves;
  • Maintenir la qualite du code par le mentorat, la collaboration et les processus de revue de code;
  • Collaborer etroitement avec les equipes UI/UX/VFX et la direction afin d'etablir les plus hauts standards de qualite;
  • Travailler au sein d'une equipe multidisciplinaire composee de programmeureuses, de designereuses, d'animateurrices et d'artistes.
Ce que nous recherchons :
  • 6+ ans d'experience en tant que programmeur dans l'industrie du jeu ; 
  • Solides competences en programmation C++ ;
  • Forte comprehension du fonctionnement d'un moteur de jeu et des concepts d'edition ;
  • Un interet marque et un reel enthousiasme pour les technologies du jeu, l'interface utilisateur et l'experience du joueur ;
  • Vous aimez resoudre des problemes techniques difficiles avec les solutions les plus efficaces ; 
  • Vous avez de solides competences en matiere de communication et de relations interpersonnelles ; 
  • Point bonus - Experience de developpement avec Unreal 4 ou plus, UMG ou MVVM framework.
