In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale web applications that support critical national security missions.

Working alongside a collaborative engineering team, you will develop modern React applications, design secure backend APIs, and deliver scalable full-stack solutions from concept through production deployment. You'll collaborate closely with technical leads and mission stakeholders to translate complex customer requirements into innovative software solutions while contributing to engineering best practices and high-quality application development.

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you'll have the opportunity to build modern cloud-enabled applications using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS technologies while supporting innovative solutions for mission-critical customers.

Work Location:

  • Primary Work Location: AWS IAD21 (Herndon, Virginia) and customer site in the vicinity of Springfield, Virginia.
  • Work Environment: Must be willing to work in a SCIF at the AWS Herndon or Springfield customer site up to 100% of the work week.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Independently design, develop, and implement software features from requirements through production deployment.
  • Break down complex customer requirements into scalable technical solutions with minimal oversight.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise-scale React applications using modern React patterns and TypeScript.
  • Design, develop, and maintain secure RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
  • Implement business logic, middleware, authentication, validation, and backend integrations supporting enterprise workflows.
  • Integrate frontend applications with backend services and enterprise data models.
  • Manage complex application state using modern React state management approaches.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and resolve complex frontend and integration issues.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and provide technical recommendations.
  • Conduct code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices and software quality initiatives.
  • Collaborate directly with technical leads and customers to rapidly prototype, iterate, and deliver application features.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
  • React and TypeScript experience.
  • Expert-level experience building enterprise-scale React applications using modern React patterns, hooks, context, reusable component design, routing, asynchronous data fetching, performance optimization, and TypeScript.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining secure RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
  • Experience implementing business logic, middleware, authentication, validation, and integrating frontend applications with backend services, enterprise workflows, and data models.
  • Experience managing complex application state using modern React patterns, including Context, Zustand, TanStack Query, and reducers.
  • Experience developing and implementing AWS-based applications or cloud solutions.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience using software development tools and methodologies.
  • Experience providing technical leadership for application delivery or leading at least one software development or implementation effort.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
  • Experience developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK (TypeScript).
  • Experience deploying and managing AWS cloud resources, including Lambda, ECS, Fargate, S3, RDS, and Application Load Balancers (ALB).
  • Experience developing customer-facing applications.
