Job description

Your opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.

Corporate Vendor Management at Charles Schwab & Co. is responsible for implementing a firm-wide, end-to-end vendor relationship management process to maximize vendor performance and value. Corporate Vendor Management identifies, mitigates, monitors, and manages vendor risk; and assists Schwab in meeting regulatory and compliance requirements.

The Corporate Card & Travel Services team within Corporate Vendor Management manages the firm’s Travel & Expense program, including policies, systems, vendor relationships, and the overall employee experience. This individual contributor role will serve as a complementary peer to the existing Senior Travel Manager, with a primary focus on analytics, program optimization, and technology strategy.

What you’ll do:

The Senior Travel Manager – Strategy, Analytics, & Technology will lead travel program analytics, technology strategy, and continuous optimization initiatives while partnering closely with the Senior Travel Manager responsible for operations and travel supplier management.

Core responsibilities will include:

Travel Analytics & Continuous Optimization

  • Own travel program analytics and benchmarking, including performance measurement, market competitiveness assessment, savings identification, and continuous optimization opportunities.
  • Establish and deliver executive-level reporting cadence, translating data into actionable insights
  • Expand reporting beyond periodic outputs into ongoing, insight-driven program management
  • Lead the travel technology roadmap, including evaluation and implementation of new capabilities
  • Own strategy for NDC content access, servicing, and integration across TMC and booking tools
  • Partner with product owners, internal technology teams, and third-party vendors to manage integrations, enhancements, and issue resolution

Program Strategy

  • Partner with Travel Operations, Corporate Cards & Expense, Sourcing, and Finance to leverage analytics in support of supplier strategies, negotiations, and program performance.
  • Support market-level optimization strategies by identifying high-impact routes, markets, and supplier opportunities
  • Collaborate with policy and change management stakeholders to align analytics with compliance and behavior outcomes
  • Lead strategic initiatives and special projects, such as business case development and RFxs, tied to travel program transformation

Governance, Reporting & Executive Engagement

  • Prepare and present comprehensive program performance reports to senior leadership
  • Establish governance frameworks for data accuracy, reporting consistency, and decision support
  • Act as a key thought partner in shaping the multi-year travel program strategy and roadmap
  • Administer executive travel support programs

Industry & Innovation

  • Stay informed on travel industry trends, including distribution evolution, pricing models, and emerging technologies (e.g., AI)
  • Evaluate external tools and data providers to enhance benchmarking and analytics capabilities
  • Introduce leading practices to improve efficiency, cost management, and traveler experience

This is a summary only and duties and responsibilities may change overtime.

Please note: this position is Monday - Friday during standard business hours with a hybrid work model (4 days in office, 1 day working from home). It is only available in Westlake (DFW), TX and Lone Tree, CO. Candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate on their own to one of the listed locations.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.

What you have

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of “challenging the status quo,” this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of travel management, travel technology, travel sourcing, or analytics experience in a regulated environment
  • Experience with travel systems (e.g., OBTs such as SAP Concur) and understanding of distribution models (including NDC)
  • Strong expertise in data analysis and benchmarking
  • Experience translating complex data into program strategies, business cases, and executive-level recommendations
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset with a track record of delivering measurable results and driving accountability across cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:
