Qualifications

Carpentry & Construction

  • Perform a variety of residential and commercial carpentry tasks associated with high-craft custom construction.
  • Frame floors, walls, roofs, and other structural components using wood and advanced building systems.
  • Perform finish and general carpentry work with an emphasis on quality, precision, and craftsmanship.

  • Participate in the fabrication and installation of heavy timber structures and components.
  • Perform timber layout, cutting, fitting, joinery, assembly, and installation as skills and experience allow.
  • Safely use portable and stationary woodworking and construction equipment.

  • Work both in the shop and on active construction sites depending on project requirements.
  • Prepare materials and components for field installation.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, stationary equipment, and other construction equipment.

Quality, Safety & Teamwork

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop and jobsite.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and established best practices.
  • Identify and communicate potential safety, quality, material, or scheduling issues.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, designers, foremen, subcontractors, and fellow craftspeople.
  • Contribute ideas and practical solutions to improve projects, processes, and team performance.
  • Take responsibility for the quality and completeness of assigned work.
  • Represent New Energy Works professionally when working with clients, subcontractors, and project partners.
