Amazon LEO will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
As a Sr

Mobility Terminal System Engineer, you will be responsible for mobile terminal architecture, integration, and validation with hardware, software, and firmware. You will work in a collaborative environment with a multi-disciplinary team.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities include:
Develop mobile terminal architecture by working closely with sub-system engineers in electrical, RF, antenna, thermal, modem, DSP, ASIC, algorithm, firmware, modeling, and software
Design tradeoffs of various terminal architectures, including RF and performance simulations to support tradeoff decisions
Develop the mobility lab so aviation, maritime, and automotive terminals can be validated both in lab environments and with LEO satellites
Proactively engage with internal and external development partners on systems' hardware and software architectures and implementation
Ensure delivered work meets technical, functional, performance, regulatory, and business requirements
Perform in-field and on-orbit validation with satellites
Traveling up to 10% of the time, depending on project phases

Mobility Terminal System Engineer on the Leo Customer Terminal (CT) team, you will work daily with electrical, hardware, RF, antenna, silicon, and product design engineers, as well as software and operations teams in a collaborative environment. Your focus will be on architecting, integrating, and validating the mobility terminal's system-level performance so it can be successfully productized for aviation, maritime, and automotive customers.
About the team
The Leo Customer Terminal team is responsible for developing both outdoor & indoor devices, enabling customers internet service via the Leo satellite network. We own the entire process from early prototypes through mass production including requirements documents, architecture definition, hardware development, and all integration/verification testing.
