Senior Systems Engineer
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Senior Systems Engineer for Novi, MI to lead development & definition of electronic systems requirements & architecture for advanced automotive engineering projects; manage electronics-related project requirements; coordinate integration & presentation of cross-functional design deliverables across engineering teams; deliver product designs to system- & component-level functional specifications; identify product performance & integration characteristics; coordinate development activities; support development & review of testing and verification plans; commonize system architecture; serve as technical interface to customer; mentor junior team members; track project deliverables & report on risks and results. Requires Master's in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering or closely-related field & 2 yrs experience in automotive product development and/or systems engineering-related position(s): working with automotive electronics hardware, software, and systems requirements, functional objectives, and validation methods and tools; eliciting customer requirements; using Rational DOORS, IBM JAZZ, TopTeam, Workfront, MS Project, Polarion, and/or Jira for requirements & product lifecycle management; preparing specifications & requirements for automotive electrical and electromechanical systems; leading and/or managing automotive product development projects; implementing LIN and/or CAN for automotive bus communication; collaborating with project functional safety stakeholders on functional safety product design; launching ASPICE projects through production; and developing electronics systems & hardware from concept to series support.Will also accept Bachelor's in said fields & 5 yrs progressive post-Bachelor's stated experience.
