Job description

In the role of Senior Structural Engineer – Buildings, we’ll rely on you to:

  • Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in structural engineering on projects; resolve complex problems of greater scope and complexity.
  • Plan and develop projects or design activities.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise the work of medium‑to‑large teams of professionals and technicians.
  • Act as Project Manager on larger projects, although project management is not the sole focus of this position.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or in Architectural Engineering with Structural Emphasis.
  • Experience with Revit and Navisworks.
  • Experience writing proposals.
  • Knowledge of ACI 350, AWWA D100, and API 650.
  • Previous experience with structural investigations and rehabilitation design.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of structural engineering experience related to building design.
  • Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position (e.g., PE or P.Eng).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE, or similar analytical software.
  • Experience in design calculations and layouts.
  • Ability to design and detail in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
  • Understanding of gravity analysis and lateral analysis.
  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
