This career site is for external applicants only.**: The Wellbore Reliability Engineer leads the documentation, auditing, and root cause analysis of water influx mechanisms in horizontal wells, assessing wellbore integrity risks that impact economic life and developing mitigation strategies to ensure long term reliability. This senior individual contributor role influences company wide wellbore reliability practices across Midland and Delaware Basin assets and is responsible for managing and implementing selected mitigation measures to ensure effective execution. The role works as part of a multidisciplinary team, partnering closely with Production Engineering, Workover, Production Operations, Drilling, and Completions.**Job Responsibilities:***Include but are not limited to** Develop and maintain structured root cause analysis datasets for water influx and wellbore integrity issues to inform mitigation strategies* Analyze water influx data to identify repeat failure modes, trends, and systemic risks impacting well economic life* Evaluate corrosion‐ and erosion‐driven failure mechanisms and apply reliability analysis methodologies to assess risk factors and expected well life* Develop and guide corporate mitigation strategies to prevent or manage water influx and wellbore integrity degradation* Lead implementation and project management of approved mitigation measures, including vendor engagement* Provide technical guidance on well construction, workover, and remedial design practices related to wellbore integrity* Support and monitor cathodic protection and other wellbore integrity systems**Required Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related mathematics/statistics field* Minimum 7 years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years in oil and gas* Experience with deviated or horizontal wells, including drilling, completions, or wellbore remediation* Corrosion training or certification (NACE, AMPP, or similar) with proficiency in CBL/VDL interpretation and reliability analysis methods* Experience with data analytics and visualization tools (Spotfire, Power BI) and strong written and verbal communication skills**Preferred Qualifications:*** Experience with SQL Server and PythonDiamondback is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
