Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Zscaler Operations Engineer with strong experience supporting enterprise Remote Access, Mobility, and End User Computing platforms. This role will be part of a critical operations team responsible for supporting centrally managed platforms serving 150,000+ mobile endpoints.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on enterprise experience with Zscaler ZPA, ZIA, ZDX and Zscaler Client Connector (ZCC), along with strong knowledge of networking, security, troubleshooting, incident/problem management, monitoring, and IT operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional who enjoys complex troubleshooting, platform operations, service improvement, automation, vendor management, and enterprise-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 3 / DevOps-level operational support for enterprise Mobility, Remote Access, and End User Computing platforms.
  • Support and troubleshoot Zscaler ZPA, ZIA, ZDX and Zscaler Client Connector (ZCC).
  • Analyze ZCC packet captures and troubleshoot connectivity, authentication, proxy, and remote-access issues.
  • Monitor platform health, availability, performance, capacity, and user experience.
  • Troubleshoot service degradations and outages and drive issues through to resolution.
  • Perform root cause analysis and contribute to incident and problem management.
  • Coordinate with internal Engineering, Service Desk, Security, Network, and Infrastructure teams.
  • Engage directly with Zscaler and other third-party vendors for complex technical issues.
  • Support Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) exercises and review/update DR plans.
  • Develop and maintain KBs, KOPs, FAQs, SOPs, operational procedures, and troubleshooting documentation.
  • Identify service gaps and recommend improvements to increase stability and reduce incident volumes.
  • Create and customize monitoring dashboards and operational reports.
  • Work with Splunk/SIEM platforms to analyze events, generate reports, and build meaningful dashboards.
  • Support administration and troubleshooting of Windows and Unix/Linux servers related to remote-access environments.
  • Assist with deployment, configuration, integration, and lifecycle management of enterprise platforms.
  • Develop opportunities for automation to eliminate repetitive manual operational activities.
  • Support incident, problem, change, release, and service management processes.
  • Analyze deployment status and provide reporting to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Perform operational risk analysis related to application/platform deployments, stability, security, and user experience.
  • Collaborate with global teams and external vendors to ensure high availability and reliability of critical services.
