Description:
The Sr. Specialist, Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for ensuring that delivered products and/or services conform to contractual requirements and company standards. This individual will support internal customers by assuring that conforming hardware and documentation are provided, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with fieldbased Supplier Quality Engineers and Integrated Product Teams to troubleshoot issues identified onsite. The SQE will work closely with assigned suppliers on activities such as Early Supplier Engagements, First Article Inspections, Root Cause and Corrective Action activities, e3 ZDP (Zero Defect Plan), Supplier Action Information Requests, Corrective Action Boards, and audits. The SQE will also partner with the assigned Contract Source Inspector to ensure timely product release that meets internal customer expectations. Up to 50% travel is required.

Essential Functions:
20% - Serve as the voice of the site by representing its unique needs within the enterprise Supplier Quality strategy, standard work, and related initiatives. Assist site quality leadership in gathering and reporting supplier performance information. Develop supplier strategies for the site and coordinate enterprise supplier quality assurance (SQA) resources to support site needs. Participate in internal and suppliersite activities including management reporting, SQE training, supplier issue investigations, customersupplier initiatives, direct supplier product acceptance, supplier management activities, and other support as required.

20% - Visit suppliers to review product and process issues; perform investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions to drive process improvements. Be accountable for assigned suppliers' performance and ensure suppliers maintain a 100% quality rating.

15% - Actively contribute to Early Supplier Engagements, such as Post Award Reviews (PAR), Supplier Manufacturing Readiness Reviews, and Control Plan activity.

15% - Interface with internal and external customers (e.g., engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, procurement) to ensure requirements are met. Analyze supplier processes and planning to verify compliance with purchase orders, engineering drawings, processes, specifications, and other applicable requirements.

10% - Work with suppliers to resolve issues within purchase order inspection packages. Investigate and report supplier quality history as requested by Quality Engineering or Quality Management.

10% - Prepare reporting documents that capture Supplier Performance, NonConformance History, impact to the CoPQ, and other assigned metrics.

5% - Participate in managing the supplier ratings and periodic review meetings.

5% - Perform periodic source inspections at assigned suppliers.

Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality, or a related discipline, and 6 years of directly related experience; or a Graduate Degree and 4 years of directly related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Ability to travel up to 50%.

Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience in manufacturing and/or inspections required.
Strong problemsolving, RCCA, and investigation experience required.
Certified Quality Engineer strongly preferred.
Ability to synthesize and analyze data from multiple sources and develop action plans based on findings.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a closeknit team environment.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Active Secret clearance preferred; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.
