Job Title

Location: Onsite 2 weeks per month in Westlake, TX

Must-Have Skills: Java | PostgreSQL | Testing RestAPI (RestAssured, Postman) Preferred Skills: Azure | CI/CD | Jenkins Domain Knowledge: Health Benefit

ABOUT THE PROJECT: Build self service capabilities for Operations to service Clients Health Benefits clients. This project will build API and develop backend code. Self servicing capabilities for operations is on a critical path to reduce cycle time to serve our customers. This squad will focus on building scalable capabilities by leveraging cloud services.

Currently, cycle time to service our clients/participants is high. By providing self service capabilities to Operations and Phone associates.

The Expertise You Have Minimum BS in Computer Science or Engineering 10-15 years’ experience in commercial software development using object-oriented design methodology. 6+ years’ experience with Java 6+ years’ experience with PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS and REST APIs 4+ years’ experience testing Restful APIs using RestAssured, Postman, or similar tooling Knowledge/Experience on Cloud (Azure) is added value Proven technical experience as an automation engineer/software engineer working across a diverse range of applications at multiple layers of the technology stack

The Skills You Bring You will work with your agile delivery team, chapter lead and QA team members to understand domain and accelerate their test automation strategy to enable delivery velocity. You are a strong contributor with a collaborative work style, and you enjoy designing and implementing efficient and effective test strategies You have experience in testing distributed applications at multiple layers of the technology stack using a variety of automation frameworks. You have expertise with using Java or JavaScript and experience with Cucumber/BDD You have proven knowledge of CI/CD principles using Jenkins and Git and can make recommendations on how to best include test automation into pipelines Work in a team of SDET’s focused on automation best practices and building reusable artifacts. You bring a learning mindset to your work and are eager to master and adopt new technologies You thrive in an Agile environment and believe in the value of t-shaped squad members.

Participating in testing strategy for system conversion activities Working and collaborating on emerging technologies to solve legacy test challenges.
