About the Role

May be required to be on site at client locations in the DC, MD, and VA (DMV) area. The role is open to Senior and Mid‑Level Engineers who will join our Infrastructure and Platform Engineering team to build, scale, observe, and maintain our Kubernetes‑based platform. You will work with cutting‑edge technologies, solve complex problems, and contribute to the foundation of our infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and implement solutions for our Kubernetes platform, including infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.
  • Build and maintain core platform components, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments using tools such as Terraform and Argo CD.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for platform‑related issues, working closely with peer development teams.
  • Implement and maintain security standards and compliance methods for the platform.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive documentation for platform components and processes.
  • Actively participate in knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers and development teams across multiple locations and time zones.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in platform engineering.
Basic Qualifications (Mid‑Level)
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience with large‑scale cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and software development engineering.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Kubernetes.
  • Programming skill in one of C#, Python, Ruby, Rust, or Go.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer‑related field or equivalent work experience.
Basic Qualifications (Senior)
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Minimum of 8 years of hands‑on experience with large‑scale cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and software development engineering.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Kubernetes.
  • Programming skill in one of C#, Python, Ruby, Rust, or Go.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer‑related field or equivalent work experience.
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience building, maintaining, or consuming CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Argo CD.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred: AWS certification and proficiency in a production environment.
  • Experience with security auditing and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience working in air‑gapped cloud regions.
  • Preferred: DoD 8570/8140 compliance with at least IAT Level II certification, including a current Computing Environment credential and one approved specialty certification (e.g., CompTIA CySA+, GICSP, CASP+).
Security Clearance

This role may require a U.S. government security clearance at the TS/SCI w/CI Poly level. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain such clearance.

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. The role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role‑specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.

Primary Location: USA.VA.Reston. Base Pay Range: $163,800 USD – $245,800 USD. Additional U.S. Location(s) Base Pay Range: $148,200 USD – $264,000 USD.
