About the role G3 is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to develop and deploy mission-ready solutions that enable advanced querying, visualization, aggregation, correlation, and analysis of large-scale data across intelligence disciplines. This role requires deep expertise in Python-based development, data engineering, and geospatial analytics to operationalize data from diverse sources, including web APIs and enterprise repositories. The ideal candidate will design scalable analytic workflows, build interactive dashboards, and create custom tools that enhance decision advantage across complex GEOINT and multi-intelligence environments. This position operates at a senior level with significant autonomy and requires both technical excellence and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Responsibilities * Develop and implement methods for querying, visualizing, aggregating, correlating, and analyzing large datasets across intelligence disciplines * Design and deploy Python-based solutions to retrieve, normalize, and operationalize data from web APIs and other data sources * Build interactive dashboards and analytic interfaces using tools such as Dash, Streamlit, Panel, Tableau, or similar platforms * Develop advanced data visualizations using libraries such as Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib, Bokeh, or equivalent * Optimize existing databases to improve performance across query, ingestion, export, and visualization processes * Integrate and manage data across relational and non-relational databases using strong SQL expertise * Develop custom tools, scripts, and workflows to automate analytic processes and support mission needs * Collaborate with AOS and AOB teams to identify, expose, and migrate new and legacy datasets * Perform geospatial data processing and analysis using GDAL, ArcPy, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or similar tools * Maintain, manipulate, and move data across platforms including SQL databases, ArcServer, Tableau, and other analytic environments * Utilize statistical modeling and mathematical techniques to extract patterns, relationships, and predictive insights from large datasets * Develop tradecraft methodologies and training solutions to ensure repeatable, scalable analytic processes * Use Git-based version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab to manage and maintain codebases * Produce clear, concise technical documentation for software systems, analytic workflows, and data processes * Operate independently at a senior level, delivering high-quality solutions with limited oversight Required qualifications * Active TS/SCI security clearance * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related technical field required; Master's degree preferred * 5+ years of experience in data science, data analysis, or related field within intelligence or defense environments * Senior-level proficiency in Python with experience developing mission-ready analytic solutions * Strong SQL skills and deep understanding of relational database concepts * Experience integrating and operationalizing data via web APIs * Experience with data visualization libraries such as Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib, or Bokeh * Experience building dashboards and analytic applications using Dash, Streamlit, Tableau, or similar tools * Proficiency with geospatial frameworks such as GDAL or ArcPy and GIS platforms such as ArcGIS Pro or QGIS * Experience with Git-based version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills * Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts both verbally and in writing * Demonstrated ability to operate independently in a senior-level role Preferred qualifications * Experience supporting intelligence community or DoD missions, particularly within GEOINT environments * Familiarity with USSOCOM and broader U.S. military organizational structures * Knowledge of IC data repositories, data sources, and analytic methodologies * Experience developing and deploying machine learning models in operational environments * Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases * Familiarity with NGA mission sets, data standards, and workflows * Experience mentoring junior analysts and contributing to team development * Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams
