Job Summary:
BigRio is a modern technology consulting firm headquartered in Boston. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to research, design, build and maintain innovative solutions for the US Department of Defence, working closely with a dedicated team on cutting-edge technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate candidate technologies and standards to implement solutions.
• Design and integrate software modules and components.
• Rapidly prototype testbeds to support development.
• Implement, test, and maintain customer-facing applications.
• Participate in Agile planning and development of new features and system maintenance.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Exceptional software development skills in C++ at expert level
• Ability to review and analyze source code
• Strong academic training in Software Engineering and Computer Science fundamentals.
• Stellar communication skills (both technical details and high-level conceptual ideas).
• Enjoys collaborating with small and dedicated development teams.
• US Citizen
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or other technical degree.
Preferred:
• Deep, Hands on expert level experience in software engineering using C++
• Knowledge of modern development practices (Agile, object-oriented programming, test-driven development, microservices).
• Ability to understand RF data feeds
• Ability to review previous repository of source code
• Understanding of Signals Intelligence and Software Defined Radio technology
• MS preferred.
