Job description

Sr. Industrial Engineer Technician

As required by our governmental client, this position requires Secret Clearance or ability to obtain.

The Industrial Engineering Technician holds the primary responsibility of supporting engineering and operations teams in optimizing production processes, improving workflow efficiency, and ensuring quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial engineering principles, data analysis, and process improvement methodologies.

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Sr. Industrial Engineer Technician: $90,000 - $110,000.

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Sr. Industrial Engineer Technician Responsibilities Include
  • Assist in designing, testing, and implementing process improvements to enhance production efficiency.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify trends and recommend operational improvements.
  • Support the development and implementation of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma techniques, and other efficiency‑driven initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct time and motion studies to determine optimal workforce utilization.
  • Assist in cost estimation, budgeting, and material requirements planning (MRP).
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide technical support for automation and process control systems.
  • Support quality control initiatives by identifying defects, root causes, and corrective actions.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Sr. Industrial Engineer Technician Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested
  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering support roles preferred.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, or similar).
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization methodologies.
  • Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus.
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Must pass pre‑employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
