Opportunity for Impactย
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineerย to join our Epic Engineering team for the Financial Management Division.As a senior engineer,ย you'llย take ownership over key areas of the platform, help design the architecture, lead development efforts,ย advance our AI efforts,ย and mentor junior engineers as the team grows. This is a rare opportunity to work with a nimble team within a well-established organization on a high-impact product and help shape its future direction.ย ย
On the Technology Team,ย you'llย partner with our global team of engineers and product managers designing, architecting, building, and testing impactful products. The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to our product vision by deliveringย a high levelย of quality and technical excellence. Successย requiresย fluency in SaaS-based application development, test automation, analytical skills, and unwavering dedication to software quality.
What You'll Doย ย
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, QA) to build scalable, cloud-native software solutionsย ย
- Collaborate as part of Agile Scrum teams in sprint planning, review, and retrospectivesย
- Develop and maintain robust accounting systems and reconciliation applications
- Architect systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability.ย
- Build applications usingย GCPย services.ย
- Lead and contribute to technical design discussions, mentor team members, and guide architectural decisions and technical best practices.ย
What We're Looking Forย
If this role sounds like the right next move, we'd love to hear from you. You might bring:ย
- 5+ yearsย of relevant programming experienceย as a full stack developerย
- Proficiencyย withย .NET/C#,ย Typescript, React, Kubernetes,ย SQL Server, OpenAPI,ย Apigee and GCPย
- Useย AI and automation as leverage: reduce toil, accelerate delivery, and improve decision quality by embedding AI-assisted development and automation into daily execution (not as optional tools).ย
- Familiar with Agile frameworks, ideally Scrum or Kanban using tools like Jira and Confluenceย
- Excellentย communication and collaboration skillsย and working withย ambiguityย
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback toย maintainย high engineering standards.ย
- Proven technical abilities, troubleshooting skills, and research abilitiesย
- Experience with cloud environments and cloud applications withย DataDog, GitLab, and Kubernetesย
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experienceย ย
- Experience providing guidance and support to other members of the software engineering team to support technical problem-solvingย ย ย ย
Bonus points if you also have:ย ย
- Previousย experience working inย startupsย orย withinย the Insuranceย spaceย ย
- Experience building and integrating withย General Ledger, Accounting, and Reconciliation systems at scaleย
- Exposure toย Nodejs developmentand Payments space

Compensation Transparencyย
The totalย anticipatedย annual compensation range for this newly created position isย $90K- 140K CADย per year, which includes starting base salary and, where applicable, variable or incentive pay.ย To determine a new team member's starting pay, we consider a variety of factors, including someone's depth, breadth, and variety of experience, skills, and responsibilities.ย ย
This position requires the employee to reside and work from one of the following provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, PEI, Saskatchewan.ย
