Everforth ECS is seeking a Sr. TORQ/SOAR Engineer to join our team in Arlington, VA (Hybrid) This position is contingent upon contract award.
The Sr. TORQ/SOAR Engineer serves as a technical leader and trusted authority for Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) using TORQ. This role drives the design, deployment, and optimization of TORQ workflows in complex enterprise environments, enabling clients to automate security operations, incident response, and threat mitigation across endpoints, servers, cloud workloads, and containerized platforms. The engineer advises clients on automation strategy, operational best practices, and integration with enterprise security tools, ensuring efficient, reliable, and scalable SOAR implementations.
Join our Managed Security Services (MSSP) team at ECS, a leading provider of cybersecurity, cloud, AI, data, and enterprise transformation solutions. This is a high-impact position where you'll collaborate with experts, work directly with strategic clients-including U.S. Federal agencies-and contribute to strengthening security operations through automation and orchestration.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and deployment of TORQ SOAR solutions, including playbooks, automation workflows, and incident response orchestration.
  • Develop and maintain graph-based or agentic automation workflows while optimizing performance through context management and advanced automation logic.
  • Integrate TORQ with enterprise security tools such as Elastic Stack, Splunk, CrowdStrike, cloud workloads, and containerized platforms.
  • Deploy and manage TORQ on platforms including public cloud, on-premises, and containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Leverage automation and orchestration tools (Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Ansible) to streamline deployment, maintenance, and operational tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent, reliable, and secure operations.
  • Provide hands-on support, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning of TORQ playbooks and automation workflows.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Produce and maintain documentation reflecting best practices, integrations, and deployment architectures.
  • Stay current on competing SOAR technologies (e.g., Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR, Splunk SOAR, Siemplify, Demisto) and provide guidance on comparative capabilities or migration strategies.
  • Deliver operational updates, status reporting, and technical recommendations to clients and ECS management.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Able and willing to support domestic or international on-site travel with customers or at ECS offices. Any travel will be short in duration and well-planned.
  • Possess and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • Must have a Secret Clearance, at minimum.
