Job description

Position Overview

Black Bear Talent is recruiting a Support Machine Operator. This position is responsible for safely operating equipment, supporting production goals, and contributing to continuous improvement within a team-based manufacturing environment. The role requires attention to safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.

Shift Schedule: This is a 12-hour night shift position working a 2 - 2 - 3. Starting pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

  • Perform all job duties in a safe manner, adhering to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Actively participate in Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) programs.

Production & Quality

  • Meet or exceed established productivity and performance standards.
  • Complete all required production, quality, and safety documentation accurately and timely.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve quality or productivity issues related to equipment or team processes.
  • Make necessary adjustments to machinery to maintain optimal performance.
  • Coordinate with Lab personnel, Team Leaders, and Senior Team Leaders to address issues and implement improvements.

Continuous Improvement & Teamwork

  • Maintain a positive team-oriented attitude and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to processes, procedures, and equipment.
  • Support and uphold 6S standards and perform housekeeping duties to ensure a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Obtain and maintain required Operator Certifications.
  • Assist with training and mentoring other team members as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Obtain and maintain Operator Certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a rotating schedule.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test and background checks.
