Position: Senior Server Administrator

Location: Hybrid - Providence, RI

Duration: 3 - 6 Months

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Server Administrator to provide temporary staff augmentation support within a modern enterprise data center environment. The successful candidate will support the administration, maintenance, and reliability of critical server and infrastructure systems while working closely with senior systems administrators and infrastructure teams.

Required Qualifications

·        Proven experience supporting enterprise server environments in modern data centers.

·        Strong knowledge of server hardware, operating systems, and infrastructure technologies.

·        Experience with patch management, system maintenance, and infrastructure troubleshooting.

·        Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

·        Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team.

·        Availability to support after-hours maintenance and operational requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

·        Experience supporting IT infrastructure within a higher education environment.

·        Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.

·        Knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration.

·        Familiarity with enterprise monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
