Join JRC's Security Team!

JRC has an immediate opening for a Senior Security Officer (SSO) to lead security operations for the accreditation and maintaining a Secure VTC room and other security duties as directed. In this critical role, you'll ensure compliance with NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), DoD directives, and Intelligence Community guidelines for the management and accreditation of a new Secure Room space in our Headquarters office in Washington DC facility and reporting to the JRC corporate Security Manager and FSO.

What You'll Do
  • Security Program Management
  • Develop and maintain security operational plans, SOPs, and compliance documentation
  • Ensure adherence to 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM and contract-specific requirements
  • Conduct audits, self-inspections, and support DCSA reviews
  • Investigate security incidents and recommend corrective actions
  • Configure and operate secure VTC systems
  • Support Microsoft Teams-based collaboration environments
  • Maintain audiovisual equipment and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot connectivity and system issues
  • Support JRC corporate security operations as directed by the Security Manager & FSO
  • Travel 20% as required to JRC Facilities annually or as necessary
  • Personnel Security & Access Control
  • Coordinate visit requests and enforce need-to-know principles
  • Deliver security training and awareness programs
  • Classified Information Handling
  • Control, transmit, store, and destroy classified materials IAW regulations
  • Maintain accountability records and conduct annual inventories
  • Physical Security & Facility Management
  • Oversee access controls, IDS, CCTV, and perimeter safeguards. Knowledge of security in depth with response to incidents as necessary
  • Coordinate secure spaces with SCIF approval and daily operations
  • Develop and maintain emergency evacuation plans.

Travel: Some travel required.

What You Bring to the Table

  • A bachelor's degree in security management or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years in industrial security, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Strong knowledge of NISPOM, DoD directives, ICD 705.
  • Experience supporting DoD VTC environments
  • Knowledge of secure communications systems
  • Excellent supervisory, organizational and communication skills.

Bonus Points

  • ISP, CPP, ITPSO and FSO certifications.
  • Experience in defense contracting.
  • Knowledgeable with UL 2050 standards and Insider Threat Programs.
  • Graduate degree in a related field.
