ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of large-scale programs that align with the organization's strategic objectives. This role involves managing project portfolios and ensuring the successful delivery of program outcomes. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of project and program management principles, methodologies, and tools.

This role requires a high level of strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and technical partnership with engineering teams.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop program strategies that effectively align with the company's business goals.
  • Design and implement long-term goals for project performance, independently validating scope and requirements across multiple concurrent initiatives - surfacing gaps before they become execution risks.
  • Coach and mentor other program managers on executive communication, portfolio-level forecasting, and complex stakeholder navigation.
  • Act as the primary contact for program stakeholders - including Legal, Compliance, Vendor Management, and Sales - often coordinating several of these groups simultaneously on the same timeline, and maintaining strong relationships across all of them.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and deliver portfolio-level forecast synthesis and detailed reports on program status to executive leadership and external partners.
  • Manage program budgets and ensure financial accountability by tracking expenses and forecasting budget requirements for project sustainability.
  • Perform cost-benefit analysis on programs, including risk assessment for resource allocation, and identify risk patterns that span multiple initiatives before they compound.
  • Ensure program outputs meet quality standards agreed upon in the planning phase, partnering closely with engineering and architecture on key technical trade-offs.
  • Streamline and implement continuous improvement practices, building reusable processes and frameworks that other program managers can adopt.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Software Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in program management, preferably in a related industry.
  • Experience in strategic planning and business analysis.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple large-scale projects or programs concurrently.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Basecamp).
  • Demonstrated technical fluency sufficient to engage credibly with engineering and architecture stakeholders on solution trade-offs.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities and sound judgment under ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and executive audiences.

Work Environment

  • This job operates in an office environment 3 days per week.
