Week 1 - Wednesday & Saturday 3:00 pm-11:30 pm

This Security Guard oversees and maintains the overall safety and security of residents, team members, visitors and buildings in the community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Makes repeated security and safety rounds inside and outside of community buildings
  • Follows security schedules and job routines
  • Clearly & concisely communicates in a professional, courteous, and pleasant manner with all residents, visitors, & team members
  • Quickly, accurately, and appropriately interprets and responds to resident's urgent care needs and dispatch appropriate response(s) to calls for assistance
  • Uses personal computers and programs tied to the campus emergency response system
  • Works in conjunction with SARA system
  • Uses equipment daily including vehicles, radios, computers, carts, phones, computers
  • Complies with infection control regulations, guidelines, and policies
  • Assists in in-servicing relating to security such as fire drills, emergency evacuation
  • Maintains appropriate logs and records in a timely and accurate fashion

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service setting as security or related field is preferred
  • Must be able to read, write, and follow written and verbal directions and converse in English
  • Valid driver's license with a clean background
  • Must be able to relate to the needs and concerns of senior adults
