Clinic Manager

Location: Palm Beach County, Florida (West Palm Beach, Jupiter, Boca Raton, or Delray Beach)

A well-established, growing ophthalmology practice is seeking an experienced Clinic Manager / Ophthalmic Scribe to oversee operations across multiple office locations in Palm Beach County.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced ophthalmic professional who enjoys both leadership and direct patient care. This is a working Clinic Manager position requiring approximately 80% of your time providing hands-on clinical support, including physician scribing and ophthalmic technician responsibilities, while leading clinical operations across multiple office locations.

Required Experience
  • Current or recent hands-on ophthalmic scribing experience is required. Candidates must be comfortable serving as a physician scribe in a busy ophthalmology practice.
  • Ophthalmic technician experience with strong clinical knowledge.
  • Minimum of five years of leadership or management experience within an ophthalmology practice.
  • Experience supervising clinical staff in a multi-provider practice.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly between five office locations throughout Palm Beach County.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a specialty ophthalmology practice is highly preferred.
  • Candidates with strong comprehensive ophthalmology experience will also be considered.
  • Experience with Nextech Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Knowledge of MIPS and quality reporting initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day operational leadership for five ophthalmology office locations throughout Palm Beach County.
  • Serve as a physician scribe while providing ophthalmic technician support and direct patient care, spending approximately 80% of your time in the clinic.
  • Supervise Lead Technicians and clinical support staff across multiple locations.
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and mentor clinical and administrative team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and regular staff meetings to promote communication, accountability, and professional development.
  • Develop and improve office workflows, policies, and procedures to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, quality initiatives, and clinical standards, including MIPS.
  • Oversee medical supply and medication inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels and regulatory compliance.
  • Address patient concerns professionally while maintaining an exceptional patient experience.
  • Support Nextech Electronic Health Record (EHR) workflows, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with physicians and senior leadership to support strategic initiatives and continued practice growth.
  • Travel regularly between office locations throughout Palm Beach County.
