Job description

We are seeking a Senior SAP Security Specialist in our Broomfield, CO, or Brooklyn Park, MN, Location.

All employees should work at their assigned location; however, this role may offer the opportunity to work remotely up to 2 days per week, with approval.
The Senior SAP Security Specialist will be a member of our IT Applications team, reporting to the SAP Team Manager, and will be responsible for the design, configuration, administration, governance, and continuous improvement of SAP roles, security, and compliance. This role requires strong experience in SAP role design, authorization management, Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) administration, Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls, and audit support activities. The specialist works closely with business stakeholders, auditors, SAP functional teams, and third-party partners to ensure SAP security remains effective, compliant, and aligned with business requirements while supporting a strong internal controls environment. The role requires a high degree of independent judgement and technical expertise to assess security risks, recommend appropriate controls and remediation activities, influence business and project stakeholders, and ensure that complex.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, maintain, and optimize SAP security roles and authorization models across SAP applications.
  • Evaluate and redesign existing role structures to improve security, simplify administration, and support business requirements.
  • Administer and support SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) solutions, including Access Control workflows and Segregation of Duties (SoD) monitoring.
  • Analyze access risks and recommend mitigation strategies in accordance with company security and compliance standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement of, support implementation and maintain SAP security controls, governance processes and compliance practices.
  • Generate audit evidence and documentation to support SOX compliance reviews and internal or external audits.
  • Coordinate periodic user access reviews and certification activities.
  • Collaborate with business process owners to validate security requirements and approve access requests.
  • Provide expert guidance to business stakeholders on SAP security and access governance matters.
  • Support testing and validation of security-related changes, role modifications, and GRC configurations.
  • Participate in SAP projects, upgrades, and implementations to ensure security and compliance requirements are incorporated.
  • Investigate and resolve SAP security-related incidents, access issues, and authorization errors.
  • Develop and maintain security documentation, procedures, and standards.
  • Partner with internal and external auditors to provide timely responses to audit requests and remediation activities.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to automate security administration and compliance processes.

YOU MUST HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree minimum
  • Minimum 5 years of SAP security administration experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing and maintaining SAP roles, authorizations, and user access controls.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience administering SAP GRC Access Control or related compliance solutions.
  • Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status.
  • Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.

$110,000 - $145,000 a year
Compensation & Benefits:
The pay range for this role is $110,000 - $145,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate's skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
