Job description

Overview

Medallia is the pioneer and market leader in Experience Management. Our award-winning SaaS platform, Medallia Experience Cloud, leads the market in the management of experiences, insights, and actions for candidates, customers, employees, patients, and residents alike.

We believe that every experience is a memory that can last a lifetime. Experiences shape the way people feel about a company. And they greatly influence how likely people are to advocate, contribute, and stay. At Medallia, we are committed to creating a world where organizations are loved by their customers and their employees.

We empower exceptional people to create extraordinary experiences together.

Bring your whole self.

The Role and Team

Medallia is hiring a Senior Salesforce Developer to help own and modernize the systems that support our go-to-market teams. You will work in a large enterprise Salesforce environment across Sales Cloud, quote-to-cash, integrations, and internal applications used by Sales, Revenue Operations, Customer Success, Marketing, and Finance.

This is a hybrid builder role, not a narrow back-end development position. Some work will call for Flow, configuration, data analysis, and production support. Other work will require reading or changing Apex, troubleshooting integrations, improving legacy automation, or helping rebuild a business process that no longer scales. You should be comfortable moving between those modes and explaining your decisions to both technical and business partners.

The team is bringing more technical ownership in-house. You will have room to shape how we build, test, document, and operate Salesforce while working on practical AI-assisted capabilities, CPQ modernization, and the cleanup of inherited solutions.

The right person for this role: owns outcomes, asks good questions, documents what they learn, and can make progress in an inherited enterprise environment without waiting for perfect requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Own Salesforce work from discovery through release: clarify the problem, propose a design, estimate the work, build or configure the solution, test it, document it, and support it after launch.
  • Develop and maintain solutions using Flow, Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, platform configuration, and Salesforce APIs. Choose code or declarative automation based on maintainability, scale, and platform limits.
  • Modernize inherited automation and custom code. Simplify overlapping Flows, legacy Apex, fragile integrations, and undocumented dependencies without breaking the business processes that rely on them.
  • Support quote-to-cash capabilities, including Salesforce CPQ, product and pricing logic, approvals, amendments, renewals, and integrations with downstream finance or billing systems.
  • Build and support integrations between Salesforce and internal or third-party applications using REST or SOAP APIs, asynchronous processing, and secure data-handling patterns.
  • Help introduce governed AI-assisted workflows into the sales platform. Focus on clear business value, data protection, traceable outcomes, and human control rather than novelty.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and leave behind useful runbooks and monitoring so the same problem is easier to diagnose the next time.
  • Work directly with Revenue Operations, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, business analysts, and Salesforce administrators to turn business needs into maintainable technical solutions.
  • Use source control, peer review, automated tests, and structured release practices. Contribute to technical standards and raise risks early when a proposed approach will create avoidable debt.

Candidates based in the Tysons, VA-US, Buenos Aires, ARG, or Mexico City, MX vicinity will be prioritized as this role is Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience supporting Salesforce in an enterprise environment as an administrator, technical analyst, developer, or a combination of those roles.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with designing, developing, and integrating within Sales Cloud and core platform components.
  • Demonstrated experience building custom REST/SOAP integrations and managing data models at scale.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience using source-driven development practices and DevOps tools (Git, GitHub, Copado, or Visual Studio Code).
  • Professional working proficiency in English (written and verbal). This role works directly with business partners and must turn unclear requests into specific decisions and documented requirements.
  • A track record of working independently in an inherited or under-documented environment while keeping teammates informed and improving the documentation as you go.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on Apex or Lightning Web Components development and a Platform Developer I or II certification.
  • Service Cloud, Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Cloud, or broader quote-to-cash experience in a subscription software business.
  • Product catalog, pricing, renewals, contracting, billing, or revenue-recognition processes.
  • Git-based development, CI/CD, Copado, Salesforce CLI, scratch or development environments, and automated release validation.
  • Enterprise GTM applications such as LeanData, Outreach, Zendesk, e-signature tools, or billing and ERP integrations.
  • Performance tuning, governor-limit analysis, bulk data processing, and asynchronous Apex.
  • Building or governing AI features that use CRM data, including prompt controls, data minimization, auditability, and human review.
  • Ability to read and debug Apex and understand how triggers, asynchronous jobs, integrations, and Lightning components fit together. You do not need to be a career Apex specialist, but you must be able to reason about code safely.
  • Experience supporting integrations or connected applications and diagnosing failures across system boundaries.
  • A bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
