Job description

An Assistant Director is one who consistently demonstrates our core values, embraces the Chick-fil-A culture and has a servant’s heart. They have a passion for people and serving others, have strong character, take initiative and work with a sense of urgency at all times. Our leaders are responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence and our Core Values. An Assistant Directors main areas of focus is running a shift while completing tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively, and coaching/developing team members. Assistant Directors lead by example and set the tone that others will follow.

Assistant Director Responsibilities:

  • Participating operationally in day-to-day activities in high-volume, fast-paced Restaurant
  • Food Preparation and cooking
  • Ensure compliance with Chick-fil-A's food quality and safety standards
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to enhance team performance
  • Supervise and coordinate tha activities of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to established procedures
  • Inventory management: managing inventory and ensuring property stock rotation
  • Address customer concerns or complaints relation to back of house operations and implement necessary improvements
  • Be a friendly, encouraging team player and set the tone for a shift, and act as a role model for our team
  • Open and/or close, lead shifts, key holder
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong people skills with a desire to serve Team Members
  • Excllent leadership and team-building skills
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong knowledge of back of house operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety procedures
  • Proficiency in managing inventory, placing orders, and controlling costs
  • Ability to manage Team Member behavioral and performance issues
  • Ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility
  • Prior experience in a kitchen leadership role.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including morning, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays, based on the needs of the restaurant
