They're primarily a software company, but they also have a strategic portfolio of hardware that they design in-house.


We're looking for top-notch developers who are not afraid to move around the stack and help where needed. You'll participate in all aspects of a project life cycle, from specs through QA; as well as being an integral part of a closely knit group of Developers spanning server-side engineering, back-end and front-end design, and creative. Additionally, we'll look for your help in defining in-house processes and best practices (code management, testing, deployment, D&R, etc.). If interested, you'll also have the opportunity to do some sysadmin and cloud management work.

Qualifications

Must have

  • 5+ years of professional Development experience, with 3+ years Rails Development experience (Python/Django can be replaced for Rails experience)
  • Thorough understanding and application of Ruby on Rails, LAMP stack and MySQL.
  • Strong understanding of MVC architectures, object oriented design, database design and Agile Development techniques
  • PHP
  • HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery
  • Good sensibilities around UI/UX design


Nice to have

  • Yii PHP Framework, JS OO
  • Git, Python, Linux, Apache, AWS
  • iOS and/or Android
  • Basic competency in Photoshop/Illustrator
  • Basic knowledge of Linux Server Administration
