Position Summary
The Credit Analyst is responsible for accurately and efficiently analyzing, underwriting, and documenting commercial and/or consumer loan requests, including new credit extensions, renewals, and periodic credit reviews. The Analyst works closely with frontline lending staff to provide timely credit support, develop a clear understanding of borrower financial performance, identify potential risks, and assess the overall credit quality of each request. This position reports directly to the Senior Credit Analyst.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and underwrite loan requests in accordance with the Bank’s credit policies, procedures, and risk standards
  • Prepare clear, well-supported written credit presentations, including spread financial statements, cash flow analysis, collateral evaluation, and risk assessment
  • Partner with lenders to ensure timely responses and efficient workflow while maintaining strong credit discipline
  • Identify and communicate key credit risks, trends, and mitigating factors
  • Participate in new money requests, renewals, and periodic credit reviews
  • Ensure all credit documentation is accurate, complete, and in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the Bank’s risk appetite, loan portfolio, and credit culture
  • Interact regularly with lenders, credit leadership, and executive management as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
  • 1–2 years of experience in a bank or financial institution required
  • Strong analytical and financial analysis skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in financial statement analysis and basic credit concepts
