Position Overview
The Senior HR Systems Analyst - Workday is responsible for leading support, configuration, optimization, and continuous improvement of IVC's Workday platform across Human Resources. This role serves as a senior functional resource and trusted liaison between HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, site leadership, and external partners to ensure Workday processes, data, reporting, security, and system functionality effectively support business needs.
The Senior HR Systems Analyst plays a key role in strengthening Workday data integrity, improving the manager and employee experience, supporting HR operational processes, and advancing system-based solutions that improve efficiency, accountability, compliance, and adoption. This position requires strong Workday functional knowledge, analytical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to translate business needs into practical system, reporting, and process solutions.
Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities
  • Serve as a senior Workday functional support resource for HCM, employee data, business processes, reporting, security, and related HR modules.
  • Lead day-to-day Workday configuration support, including business processes, condition rules, notifications, organizations, supervisory structures, security assignments, and related system setup in partnership with HR leadership and IT.
  • Evaluate HR business requirements and recommend scalable Workday solutions that strengthen process consistency, data integrity, compliance, and user experience.
  • Lead Workday data management activities, including data audits, mass changes, EIB loads, validation, corrections, and proactive data quality monitoring.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve standard and ad hoc Workday reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics for HR, Payroll, Finance, operations, and senior leaders.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex Workday issues; identify root causes, document resolution steps, and coordinate escalation with internal partners, Workday resources, or third-party vendors as needed.
  • Lead Workday release management activities by reviewing new functionality, assessing business impact, coordinating testing, documenting recommendations, and supporting adoption decisions.
  • Participate in, and at times lead, configuration, testing, deployment, and stabilization of Workday enhancements, integrations, and HR technology projects.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, job aids, testing scripts, reporting inventories, configuration documentation, and training materials for employees, managers, HR users, and business stakeholders.
  • Provide advanced end-user support and training for Workday self-service transactions, inbox management, business process completion, reporting, and data correction needs.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, operations, and site leadership to identify process gaps and implement system-based improvements that support accountability and operational efficiency.
  • Support annual and recurring HR processes, including performance management, compensation planning, merit, benefits enrollment, organizational changes, talent processes, and year-end reporting.
  • Support security reviews, data privacy requirements, compliance audits, and role-based access governance, including documentation and follow-up for assigned action items.
  • Monitor Workday adoption, process completion, and data quality trends; proactively recommend improvements to strengthen reporting, process discipline, and user experience.
  • Support system stabilization, continuous improvement, and future Workday roadmap initiatives aligned to HR and business priorities.
  • May provide guidance, peer support, or informal coaching to HR users, project team members, and business stakeholders on Workday functionality and process standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
The Candidate
Education, Experience, and Licenses
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Analytics, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting HR systems, HR operations, and/or human resources analytics preferred.
  • 4+ years of hands-on Workday HCM experience required; Workday reporting, business process, security, and data management experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting payroll, compensation, benefits, talent, recruiting, performance, and/or organizational management processes preferred.
  • Experience with data imports, exports, EIBs, testing, configuration documentation, implementation, release management, and system optimization projects preferred.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, multi-site, or complex operating environment a plus.

  • Strong functional understanding of Workday navigation, employee data, business processes, reporting, security concepts, organizations, and role-based access.
  • Ability to analyze business needs, evaluate options, and translate requirements into clear system, reporting, configuration, and process solutions.

  • Ability to lead assigned workstreams, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on issues in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills for data review, analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear documentation, user guidance, executive-ready summaries, and training materials.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, operations, and external vendor teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
