The Role

Are you passionate about identifying potential risks before they become challenges while supporting business partners build strategies that keep our organization protected? Over the past five years, Fidelity has made a significant investment in developing Alternative Products, with a strong focus on launching new offerings across private equity, private credit, hedge funds, real assets, and emerging digital assets As a Senior Risk Manager - Alternative Accounting Risk, you will provide risk leadership across Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) as the firm continues to grow its Alternatives platform. You will partner closely with FFIO leadership to identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to new product launches, fund operations, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness. This role leads risk activities across global teams, supports SarbanesOxley 404 requirements, and helps evolve FFIO toward an integrated, endtoend risk model for alternative investments.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in risk management, audit, or related areas

  • Strong knowledge of alternative investment products and fund accounting/operations

  • Proven leadership or project management experience

  • Solid understanding of risk assessment, control evaluation, and regulatory requirements

  • Strong data and analytics skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau)

  • Clear, confident communicator able to influence senior leaders

  • Strategic, adaptable thinker who challenges existing practices and drives improvement

The Team

You will join the FFIO Risk Team, which partners with FFIO leadership and crossfunctional teams (Risk, Legal, Compliance) to enable the safe and scalable growth of Fidelity's Alternative Products. The team operates globally and plays a critical role in balancing innovation with strong governance and operational resilience.

Fidelity's Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

The base salary range for this position is $89,000-$180,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
